Miami County Food Mobile
On our second food pantry drive we noticed a young pregnant woman with a toddler. She went through the line to get her food for her family of three. Behind her was a elderly woman using a walker barely able to manage her basket. Volunteers offered to carry her food to a waiting area for a ride. Then the young pregnant woman seeing her dilemma offered to take her home and put the groceries away. This is an example of the spirit of our community and caring among the recipients. Even those in need try to reach out and help one another, said executive director Debi Wallick.
