United Way of Miami County Awards $25,000 in Grants to Support Local Programs

United Way of Miami County (UWMC) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025-2026 Grant Cycle, investing $25,000 into impactful programs that strengthen our community. These grants will help fund vital services that provide education, transportation, emergency assistance, mental health support, and resources for individuals with disabilities.

This funding supports programs that align with United Way’s mission of building a stronger, healthier community by addressing key needs throughout Miami County. The selected organizations are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents.

The 2025-2026 UWMC Grant Recipients include:

  • Miami County YMCA Pre-K Scholarship Program – Providing access to early education opportunities for children who might not otherwise have the chance to attend.
  • Miami County YMCA Transit Program – Ensuring transportation options for individuals who need reliable access to essential services.
  • The Salvation Army Emergency Assistance Program – Offering crucial support to families facing financial hardships and unexpected crises.
  • Family Service Association Domestic Violence & Assault Program – Supporting survivors of domestic violence and assault while promoting safety and advocacy.
  • Bona Vista Sensory Program – Enhancing sensory resources to better serve individuals with disabilities.
  • Mental Health America Mental Health Navigator – Connecting individuals with essential mental health resources and support services.

Each of these programs directly aligns with United Way’s impact areas, ensuring that local resources reach the people who need them most. Through the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our community partners, we are making real, tangible changes in Miami County.

The UWMC grant cycle operates on a two-year basis, meaning the next opportunity for local organizations to apply will open in the fall of 2026. This long-term funding approach allows for sustained impact and helps organizations plan for the future.
